Conscious Dreamers

Have you ever watched a convincingly crafted movie scene in a movie theater? The experience of the story might imprint itself on our consciousness in such a way that it feels real. Suddenly we are part of the unfoldment on the screen; we even might feel we know the characters. 

In moments of cruelty, scenes of destruction and discontent for human life, we might look up from the silver screen and follow the beam of light to the projector in the back of the auditorium. In these moments we get to see the relation between the events on the screen and their source. Everything so seemingly real, so material, so meaningful that happens on the screen dissolves into no-thing but light itself.

If we allow ourselves to take this realization with us when we leave the theater, we get to discover that if our mind solely focuses on material things, we perceive our ever-changing environment, our coming into this world, our leaving this world and any transition in between simply as material facts only as well. 

However, once we exercise our spiritual muscle through study, fellowship, prayer and meditation we get to look up and follow the beam of light to the blueprint of all of creation, God, and see it clearly vibrating in everything animate and inanimate. 

Suddenly all the different forms of matter, including human life and even thoughts are nothing but the diverse vibrations of that all-pervading, love-filled light of the Divine. 

You are a conscious dreamer! Neither only focused on the picture and forgetting the beam of light, nor looking at the beam only with no concept of the picture. You are sitting in the movie theater of your life, experiencing the images on the screen, while remembering their source: the eternal beam of light, God.

Affirmation:
God's eternal beam of light is expressing in, as and through me. I am the conscious dreamer of my own life, creating my cosmic dream!
