Nishkarma
The power of God is with you at all times… and is constantly doing all the work using you as a mere instrument. The Sanskrit word Nishkarma means doing without attachment to the result of action. Nishkarma is a core message of the “Song of the Lord,” the Bhagavad Gita. Especially for us today it can serve as a tool to view our ordinary activities of everyday life as well as our spiritual state of being in a new light. In today's fast moving world we tap, swipe and share our lives on high-tech devices, we connect to experience virtual spaces, we only move to change places, and we travel to get to destinations. Accepting this as reality, we feel we do not have enough time and even ask ourselves how fast we can meditate. All forms of energy that have us moving to get somewhere, acquire something or have us constantly checking for updates have a vibration of urgency and franticness and have us going faster and faster until we simply cannot go fast enough to accomplish the perceived goal. In this moment ask yourself: Are you traveling to get somewhere or are you on the road just to travel? Are you moving to change places or are you here to dance? All energies that have us travel to wander and move to dance are joyous forms of energy. They nurture us, uplift us and allow us to gain new perspectives and insights. In essence, when we touch the wisdom of our heart we tap into Reality, we swipe away what does not serve us, share our lives authentically, and connect in healthy relationships. We allow Spirit to express itself in, as and through our lives. Nishkarma: do what the moment calls for, be open to the outcome and know that the human perspective can only limit the vision Spirit already holds in absolute perfection for your life! Affirmation: |
