Re-Expose Your Negative

June 13, 2016

When life gets blurry, adjust your focus.
~Annonymous

Recently I came across old photographs of my childhood. There were pictures of moments in time I could hardly recall. There I was, a baby, a toddler, the first day of school, playing at a creek with my grandfather, or me at about 8 years old on a trip with my family to Italy.

Suddenly I found myself looking back in time at images of happiness, of playfulness and of family harmony. However, as I got older these images took on a different exposure in my mind. The fear of the first day at school overtook the excitement of meeting new friends. The fever and cold that came after the trip to Italy distorted the beauty of that experience and the firmness of my grandfather's parenting shifted my remembering of the playfulness on that creek.

Do you have moments in time in your head that you give your power to and allow them to define who you are today and who you aspire to be tomorrow? I was surprised to see the physical evidence of the pictures taken and what over time those same moments became in my mind. You are a unique divine emanation of the most high and as such only you have dominion over you! Let's re-expose these pictures and bring back the light! Nothing exists outside of our divine being, so we have the power to re-expose these frames.

The excitement of meeting new friends at school absorbs the fear of the unknown of what school might be. The beauty of the designs and the inspiring atmosphere of the journey to Italy outweighs any challenges of my body temple and the love of my grandfather and the way he looks at me in that picture is a mirror of how I am loved by God!

Affirmation:
I am the photographer of my own expansion. God is on the scene because I let God direct my life! Clarity is the order of my day!
