Timelessness
The distinction we have between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.
~Albert Einstein
Do you sometimes tell yourself that things were better “in the good, old days”? Where does the notion come from, that an image we create in our minds of events or circumstances in the past are elevated to a status of “better than” the present moment?
Einstein's theory of relativity shows us that time as we accept it in our lives does not exist. If you would be on a space ship traveling at 80% of the speed of light and a friend of your travels on another spaceship at half that speed, both your perceptions of time would be different. Your clock would actually read that less time passes than the clock of your friend. If that is not unbelievable enough: Scientists today can proof that the clocks in both spaceships give both an accurate reading.
How can that be? We live our lives at a much slower pace relative to the speed of light. This is why we experience that, which we call time, differently. We can only talk about our experience of time, but we do not know what time actually is.
Spiritual wisdom tells us that all of time exists in this present moment. Is this not a wonderful thing to know? While the reality of physics in our universe shows us the relativity of time, the spiritual reality of time whispers to us that there is only one moment: This moment right here and right now!
Allow yourself to use the feeling tones of your timeless experiences of “better than” to become touchstones in the here and now. No need to dwell in a past that does not exist. Bring your light into the present and witness the power of your own transformation.
