You Are Life Eternal

August 30, 2013

Make the most of yourself, for that is all there is of you.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Every morning we wake up and we allow our consciousness to enter into different aspects of our human experience. We dive into the roles of being mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, students, co-workers and so on. We even put on different clothes that support a particular role. As we go through the micro cosmos of our day, we allow the unfoldment of different aspects of our human selves.

Similarly from birth through maturity and old age we take on different aspects of our individualized lives through different identities or roles. We are children, adolescents, and students, have jobs, and relationships only to release and let go of some or all of these aspects as we walk our life's path.

Similarly, at the end of our waking day's activity we also have to let go of everything that occurred throughout that day's experience. We have to shed the roles we took on and put on clothes that are more light and comfortable. We have to let go in order to let ourselves get deeply replenished throughout the night.

Through letting go of all that which our waking-mind considers important we draw closer to the Spirit. While we are unconscious in a deep sleep state we can use meditation to have a conscious experience of merging with Spirit fully conscious and fully awake. From that place we transform and inform our waking state life and we actively participate as unique, divine emanations of the Spirit in a unified field of consciousness.

Starting our day from that expanded place of being we not only enter into different aspects of our human experience, but also know that all experiences we create for ourselves are necessary and wonder-filled facets of the one sparkling, radiant diamond, which is our God-ordained eternal Life.

Affirmation:
Today I embrace everything in my life as a joyous expression of the one Spirit! My life is God's life!
